Hailey Bieber’s Bachelorette Dress Is Only $60

Image
Last night, Hailey Bieber celebrated her bachelorette party in Los Angeles with friends such as Kendall Jenner and her stylist, Maeve Reilly. At the time of the model’s cover story for Vogue back in March, she and husband Justin Bieber were still finalizing the plans for their second wedding (they officially tied the knot last September at a lower Manhattan courthouse), and it seems that big day is finally imminent. But while little details are known about what or where their ceremony will be, we do know that Bieber went for an all-white look for her bachelorette festivities this week—and, in fact, her dress for the occasion cost only $60. Doing all-white like a true bride-to-be, Bieber chose a skin-tight cami dress by Oh Polly for her fun-filled night. With clear spaghetti straps and a below-the-knee length, her choice of dress struck the perfect chord of “sexy yet classy,” as the brand describes the garment on its website. The party look proved to be a more sophisticated take on...

Bella Hadid Finds a Stylish New Party Friend After the VMAs

Image
Arriving with her gorgeous sister Gigi, Bella Hadid made a glamorous entrance to the VMA awards in Jersey last night wearing an ab-revealing dress by London newcomer Charlotte Knowles. The supermodel kept the glamorous good vibes going well after the ceremony was over; she was seen leaving the Republic Records After-Party at the Moxy Chelsea in Manhattan dressed in her signature, cheap-and-chic white ribbed tank top, her second midriff-baring look of the night. She paired the cheeky top with high-waisted faded boot cut jeans with a black belt complete with a Chrome Hearts pavé buckle and barely-there PVC “naked” heels. In-between outfit changes, it seems that Hadid managed to make a stylish new friend—a crop top buddy if you will. At her side as she exited the late night bash, singer Halsey who was in a celebratory mood after picking up the VMA for Best K-Pop with BTS this year and showed off her washboard stomach with a cropped black sleeveless mock neck shirt. Rather than going ...

Gwyneth Paltrow Gets Honest About Aging: “What Happens to Your Identity When You’re Not Beautiful?”

Image
Gwyneth Paltrow’s polarizing candor and approach to wellness may not be for everyone, but there’s no denying it: She’s a harbinger of change for discourse around women’s health. Taking a no-holds-barred approach to taboo subjects, the Oscar-winning actress recently opened up about experiencing perimenopause and her hopes to reshape the narratives around it. Now she’s getting more frank than ever about aging, musing about the feminine beauty ideal and how it’s inherently fraught for women as they age. In the debut episode of Goop’s new podcast, The Beauty Closet, Paltrow spoke openly about how being celebrated for her appearance has been something of a Catch-22. “I’ve always felt so funny about my looks,” explained the 46-year-old. “I think that it’s very rare to think that you’re a beautiful person, and so, I feel like every other woman, like I don’t see that when I look in the mirror.” She continued, “I think for me it’s more internally feeling.... You know, as I go on in life, an...

Supermodel Behati Prinsloo Opens Up About Suffering from Postpartum Depression

Image
"Being a mom has changed me in many ways," says Behati Prinsloo, who has two daughters—Gio Grace, 1 month, and Dusty Rose, 2—with husband Adam Levine. Opening up about the multitude of ways that having children has transformed her life, the 31-year-old supermodel is pulling back the curtains on her battle with postpartum depression in a new essay. "I had moments of postpartum [depression] after our first baby that I felt like [were] coming through," she writes of struggling with the severe form of clinical depression. Brought on by childbirth and characterized by anxiety, sadness, mood swings, or feeling overwhelmed, PPD affects 1 in 10 moms and the FDA recently approved the first drug designed specifically to treat it. Prinsloo goes on to credit Levine for being "incredibly supportive" and helping her get through the trying period of her life. And while Prinsloo clarifies that she didn't suffer from an extreme case of PPD, she underlines the debi...

Is Bella Hadid Preparing for the Apocalypse?

Image
Bella Hadid looks like she’s ready to embark on a really chic hike—or like she raided the Net-a-Porter warehouses in preparation for an oncoming apocalypse. Well, it looks like Hadid is bracing for something, thanks to her utilitarian vest-harness. Last night in London, the model attended the Dior Issue launch party wearing an all-black look that included a knit sweater from the Pre-Fall 2019 men’s collection with high-waisted trousers, her signature square-toe boots, a tiny shoulder bag, and Matrix-style square sunglasses. Hadid wore the vest, which came with a mesh overlay and a hefty buckle on top of the sweater, as if she was framing the Dior logo. Hadid has ventured into the military-inspired style trend before. Just this January at a Chrome Hearts event in New York, the model wore a neon yellow multi-pocketed vest from Virgil Abloh’s first Louis Vuitton men’s collection with a skirt. As for this current monochrome look? It’s a stealthier, sleeker version of the tactical harne...

These Alt-Models Are Breaking All the Festival Style Stereotypes

Image
After two full weekends of Coachella street style galleries and Instagram photoshoots filling up every fashion lover’s Explore page, a sign has emerged: that the festival era occupied exclusively by Victoria’s Secret models and long-limbed influencers in chokers, flower crowns, and fringe is on its way out. Onstage, an exciting crop of artists chose clothing that broke the status quo. Maggie Rogers wore simple white tank tops and jeans, Rosalìa didn’t shy away from latex, and Dev Hynes cemented his reputation as a style icon in patchwork pants and a leather beret. Meanwhile, out on the field, models like Slick Woods, Barbie Ferreira, and Salem Mitchell—all of whom have been breaking barriers with their commitment to authenticity—brought their own irreverent spirit to play. Notably, their surprisingly casual approach to Coachella style translated to something far less contrived than the “Desert Valley best” perfected by models before them. Barbie Ferreira, Bria Vinaite, and Slick W...

Bella Hadid’s New Carry-On Luggage Is Next Level

Image
Today’s most stylish celebrities—Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian West, Bella Hadid, and the like—treat each new trip to the airport as an opportunity to get dressed. Don’t expect to see these frequent flyers slip on cozy sweats for a long-haul flight, instead, they’re checking in decked out in the latest designer wares. And it makes sense: with the paparazzi constantly at their heels, it’s a strategic fashion move that ensures every shot is a flattering one. Yesterday, Hadid took that idea to the next level. But it wasn’t her tasteful athleisure that was the star of the show—rather, it was her statement luggage. The model carted around two ultimate travel companions: customized luxury carry-ons, both monogrammed with her first name. On her way to the airport in New York, she rolled out a matte black four-wheeler, by Off-White x Rimowa, on top of which was resting a Christian Dior tote large enough it fit just about every in-flight must-have you can imagine. (In it, perhaps, is St...
